Albany, Oregon
North Albany Village is a village-style shopping center anchored by Ray's Food Place, The Corvallis Clinic and Starbucks. The Village, consisting of a 110,000 sf retail/office mixed-use development and 160 home subdivision, was designed to provide easy pedestrian and vehicular travel between the center and the houses. The concept of the development was to provide a comfortable and beautiful addition to the community that would provide essential services and a place that is enjoyable to visit. We partnered with city planners and the local neighborhoods to generate a mixed-use plan that serves the needs of this growing community. Coordination with the City of Albany and FOMAT (Friends of Mature Albany Trees) resulted in buildings, plazas and landscape designed to fit well with the community of North Albany while retaining mature trees. Additionally, items salvaged from the site's original homestead were used as architectural features throughout the project.
