The restoration and addition to Woodland Opera House was undertaken to protect the beautiful brick building which was originally built in 1895 without footings and was completely unreinforced. Elements of the restoration included extensive digging, forming and pouring of concrete foundations as well as reframing floors with heavy timbers. The 35-foot exterior walls were chased, reinforced and decorated with new shotcrete pilasters and columns.
